Bio
Elisavet Pappa was born in Athens in 1953. Her engagement with painting began at a young age, leading her into the fashion industry where she worked for many years. Returning to her initial passion, she began experimenting with various techniques, particularly collage, combining natural materials such as sand, wood, pebbles, and pumice.
Clay entered her life in 2020 through her special connection with Sifnos and the guidance of potter Antonis Atsonios, who introduced her to the art. Subsequently, she took ceramics classes with Katerina Tsaligopoulou in Athens. Since then, she has been captivated by the process of free-form construction and created her brand, Else Ceramics, featuring handmade creations.
In April 2024, she presented her first solo exhibition titled “Vathi” at the Tsichritzis Visual Arts Foundation in Kifissia.
